Implementation Workshop

    CPM Middle School Implementation Workshop
    CPM High School Implementation Workshop
    CPM High School Fourth Year Course (Calculus, Statistics, and Precalculus) Implementation Workshop
    These courses are designed for teachers in their first year of implementing the CPM curriculum. Participants will be immersed in a CPM classroom setting to experience the curriculum from the perspective of both learner and instructor. Course will include course overview, course mathematics, preparing to teach the course, lesson planning and teaching strategies for the student-centered classroom, introduction to the assessment site and other ancillary features, and vertical alignment to other courses in the series. Participants must provide their own laptop and possess a Teacher Edition eBook login credential for their course.
    Fee: $250 Includes workshop registration and materials, dormitory lodging, and meals (Sunday night through lunch Friday). Transportation not included.

Phase Two Workshop (all Courses) (3 days) MTW

    This course is designed for teachers beyond their first year of implementing the CPM curriculum. Course will focus on the best practices for teaching. Now that you are familiar with the course content, how can you improve your practice to facilitate a more effective learning environment? Prerequisite: Completion of CPM Implementation Workshop Series. Participants must provide their own laptop, possess a Teacher Edition eBook login credential for their course. Optional: a copy of NCTM’s Principles to Action.
    Fee: $150 Includes workshop registration and materials, dormitory lodging, and meals (Sunday night through lunch Wednesday). Transportation not included.

    Phase Two Workshop: July 22 - 25, 2018

      July 23 - 24: Workshops and Study Teams: 8am - 5pm plus evening sessions

District/Site Support Workshop (all Courses) (2 days) MT

    This course is designed for site administrators and site support personnel such as curriculum specialists, coaches, and support teachers. Participants will be immersed in a CPM classroom setting to experience the curriculum from the perspective of both learner and instructor. Additionally, teams will discuss the professional learning progression and how the school personnel can best support teachers, students and the community during the implementation phase and beyond. Attendees that also serve in the role of a coach, might also consider staying to attend the coaching workshop that follows.
    Fee: $100 Includes workshop registration and materials, dormitory lodging, and meals (Sunday night through lunch Tuesday). Transportation not included.

Coaching Workshop (2 days) WTh

    District coaches who support CPM teachers
    This course is designed for site based coaches in CPM schools. Participants will be immersed in a CPM classroom setting to experience the curriculum from the perspective of both CPM learner and CPM instructor as we explore how to best support teachers to maximize student learning. Topics will include how to look at student and teacher roles in a CPM classroom, how to support collaborative teams of teachers, and how to increase your effectiveness as a coach.
    Fee: $100 Includes workshop registration and materials, dormitory lodging, and meals (Tuesday night through lunch Thursday). Transportation not included.
